Saturday we went to the zoo. The weather said possible rain or snow but we were lucky it was pretty mild. Not all the animals were out, but we realized at the end that they were going inside because it was closing time. We still thought we had another 1/2 hour. It was amazing though because we got to see some of the animals closer than usual because they were in their cages
instead of roaming about outside. For example, I've seen giraffes before but never as close as this picture (which does not do it justice since I was far away trying to fit them into the camera screen). They are amazing and it was so fun getting to see them only a few feet away. Being up close has it's disadvantages too, however, like when the gorilla charged at the window Megan was standing at and left her traumatized. The

How fun! We were in ST Louis too Sat. Wish we would have been smart enough to meet up! JessB
