We were tempted to not get off the ferry here. We were getting really tired by now but we figured we might regret it, so why not. We later learned that Dave's great grandfather did pass through here so we are really glad we stepped off the boat:) It made me appreciate even more what people went through to get the freedom that is so easy to take for granted sometimes.
They had visuals that showed what countries the immigrants came from and what years. It was really interesting to see the trends.
They also had a display of Barbie dolls from around the world. We tried to find one from Denmark but they didn't have that one. It was pretty cool to see the different dolls
This is the original floor----can you IMAGINE laying all of that tile? I can't. Seriously.
