So we're two weeks out till school starts again. It's hard to believe. I didn't keep up so here's a week in review:)
This was the start of lots of crying. She literally fell asleep in 3 pushes...come to find out she has been dealing with a double ear infection...again.:(
Tuesday our scout leaders have moved or changed so me & another mom took our Webelos to the Caregiver's Inn with our kids:) so the boys could do a service project. They were going to play games with them. They like Bingo the best (and man, are they serious about it!:) So here they are calling out and playing beside them.
Wednesday I took the kids to a mall to watch the free movie and shop for school clothes. I was TERRIBLY missing my friends. Our policy was "you never go alone". You know, someone always has to go to the bathroom or something (see botanical gardens:)) but I will say things went better than I expected and we had a really fun day 'just us'.
One day they are going to figure out it is supposed to move;)haha!
This was a water game I read in Family Fun. The shooter is trying to hit off the paper on the circle plates behind the tarp. Fun, but need strong plates to last longer (just a tip)
Then we headed to Nauvoo. It was very hot but the kids had a great time playing. I don't have a picture but as we were playing at the Pioneer Pastimes this lady came up to me and we had danced together in the City of Joseph pageant some 14..um years ago!!!!! Is that crazy or what? It was so much fun to see her and her kids (they've adopted 6 through foster care). Cathy Fairbanks--oh the memories we made!
While that was lots of fun, the real reason we came was this:) Words cannot describe how beautiful it was to watch this family being sealed together forever or to explain what a blessing it is in our own lives to know that although death will come some day, if we are faithful, we have the promise of an eternal family.
First of all, can you see Haley in the green shirt? Yeah, she was pretty much on stage. We had wanted to stay till it was bed time to head back home to make the drive a little easier:) So it was with great surprise that Vocal Point, a very popular a cappella group from BYU was performing. They were the international champions of collegiate a cappella in 2006. Jordan couldn't get over how they could do all of it with just their mouths. It is really fascinating. Anyway, as we arrived Haley and Anna just ran up to see the rest of this show and made themselved comfortable about 5 feet away from the rest of the cast:)haha!

Sorry to hear about the ears - I TOTALLY feel your pain! She isn't allergic to penicillan though is she? All 3 of mine are so we always get to go the more expensive route! On the bright side, the ENT finally told me last week Caleb's ears look fantastic! Yay! Only 1 yr., 2 sets of tubes & 3 trips to the chiropractor (with several left). Guess we'll take the long road over here!!! Hope you go the shorter version!
